Maja Modrinjak
Born on 8th April 1984 in Maribor.
I finished the Secondary School for Design and Photography in Ljubljana, graduated at Maribor University, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, where I studied at the department for Media Communications (Radio and Television Production). I graduated from Higher educational college of Photography and Material design at School center Srečko Kosovel Sežana (degree in photography).
I come from a family with a special attitude to art's role in conveying a message and its aesthetic value. It was my father, a renowned photographer, who introduced to me the world of photography. He was my first teacher, my mentor and is still my role model. I aspire to achieve his standards and at the same time try to find my own expression. I'm interested in various motifs and different styles and types of photography, ranging from the artistic photography, documentary photography to the sensational photography...
I have had a few collective and solo exhibitions in Maribor and elsewhere. In the last few years I have been engaged in commercial photography as well as video. I've worked as a camera operator and camerawoman on television, where I've gained a lot of valuable experience. This experience allows me to be engaged in the field of visual communication in different artistic environments in their broadest sense.
